Our Sales Consultants

The talented sales consultants who have joined our team love what they do and have not only great passion but great sales experience. Our staff are incredible ‘learners’ of the sales process and bring a great depth of applicable sales experience into their client relationships. We practice what we teach.

Tony Cole – CEO & President

Tony Cole is a CLU, ChFC with more than ten years selling in the insurance and financial services industries. An educator by degree from the University of Connecticut, he spent many years coaching collegiate and world-class athletes to optimal performance. He brings this experience and a passion for excellence to our clients with his unique style of sales coaching.

Tony has been training sales people and speaking on the topic of leadership skills for over 15 years and in that time has come to know the ins and outs of the financial services industry from the advisor’s and agent’s perspective, developing a unique specialization for the sales training organization. Tony is responsible for the idea generation, development and delivery of our unique and edgy sales process.

One of his favorite quotes is ‘If you never ask, you never hear yes.’

Linda Cole – Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Linda’s background includes a degree from UT of Austin in Business Administration as well as more than 10 years selling exercise equipment and office design and furnishings. She has owned and operated several businesses and runs the internal ACTG office and its finances.

Linda has a strong knowledge and belief in a healthy lifestyle and is a well recognized runner in her neighborhood as well as a very nutritionally based chef. Linda, Tony and their two children, Anthony and Alex, live in Cincinnati Ohio and with Linda’s help try hard to live by the motto ‘Carpe Diem, Seize the Day.’

Walt Gerano – Sales Consultant

Walt brings with him more than 15 years of financial sales background and a natural talent as a Sales Consultant. He has more than a touch of the entertainer in his delivery style and always personally engages his participants with his wit and openness of style. If he had to choose, Walt would probably tell you that he really excels with the 1 on 1 coaching that he does with many of his clients because he can make such a personal impact.

His favorite quote is by Eleanor Roosevelt, ‘Don’t let anyone tell you no who doesn’t have the power to tell you yes.’ Personally, Walt has a hard time saying no to his wife and his two sons and has a long rich history of saying Yes!

Chris Carlson – Sales Consultant

Chris was the first Sales Consultant to join ACTG and has been with the firm for more than 10 years. Prior to that, Chris has a long history with several insurance firms as a sales person, sales manager and also a partner in operating an agency. Not only does Chris have a longstanding history of selling that drives his training skills, he has a well honed ability to understand and council on sales management challenges and his personal expertise shines in this area.

Chris is an information collector and at all times is in the discovery quest to learn more. If you want a book to read or a website to peruse to enhance your personal success, just talk to Chris. His favorite motto is ‘I believe the world is plotting to do me good today and I can’t wait to see what it is!’

Mark Trinkle – Sales Consultant

Prior to joining ACTG, Mark was a student of our sales training system for several years at a local insurance and banking firm where he was in sales and sales management. Like the other SDEs, Mark would tell you that he has found his calling as a sales trainer and a coach. His clients are easily won over by his personal warmth, sense of humor and ability to engage and coach. Mark is a natural speaker and is very active at his church leading bible study sessions. His favorite quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson; ‘What you are doing speaks so loudly I can’t hear a word you are saying.’

Gary Price - Sales Consultant

Gary has extensive experience in sales, sales management and executive development including 18 years as a senior VP of Sales building and leading dynamic sales teams. Additionally, he has also owned and operated several successful companies, cultivating an intimate understanding of how to break through company paradigms in order to generate effective approaches to driving consistent and predictable sales growth. Gary’s favorite quote to live by is “You don't have to go to the ends of the earth to succeed - only to the limits of your ambition. Fear carries a man further than courage, but not in the same direction.”

Jeni Wehrmeyer – Chief Marketing Officer

Jeni’s background has been in sales and marketing including 15 years in advertising sales and sales management and most recently, 12 years as VP of Marketing at Fifth Third Bank. In that role, she handled all aspects of marketing including lead generation, training, advertising and sales support. Jeni’s responsibilities at ACTG include product development and channel delivery, content management, marketing and managing client relationships. Additionally, like everyone in the firm, she is always prospecting for new business and referrals. Her favorite past-time is outside at the parks with her 5 year old son and her favorite quote by Matthew Kelly is really a prayer, ‘God, help me to see that so few things are really important and to at least take care of these first.’

Traci Powers – Office Manager

Traci’s background is in administration, operations and office management, with over 20 years experience. Prior to joining ACTG, Traci worked for one of the top 15 banks in the country. Her willingness to jump in and her take charge attitude has proved to be advantageous in her professional career and everyday life. Traci and her husband, Mike, live in Liberty Township with their two children Lexi and Brent. Traci’s likes to live by her motto - “Live everyday like it’s your last”.
