Meet the Coles
Tony Cole graduated from University of Connecticut with a degree in Education. A scholarship athlete,
upon graduation Tony leveraged his experience to coach Iowa State University and University of Cincinnati
athletic teams. After coaching for several years, Tony went to work for Nautilus Sports and Medical as a
regional sales rep. He was soon promoted to sales manager of the southwest franchise in Dallas.
Linda Cole graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
She co-owned and operated The Austin Gym until 1983. Upon selling the company, she opened the commercial
division of Busybody, selling commercial grade fitness equipment to clubs and hotels around the country.
She and Tony met in Dallas at the kickoff of a big fitness facility and were married within a year.
After they moved to Linda’s hometown of Cincinnati, Tony began selling insurance and financial services. Over
the next several years in this industry, Tony noted a need for sales expertise and training. He and Linda
launched Anthony Cole Training in 1991. An immediate success, by the end of 1998, the little company of two
grossed half a million dollars. However, when their twelve year old son had a tragic event on September 8, 1998
which caused him to be severely brain injured, their lives changed drastically. Tony and Linda dealt with the
tragedy and made changes to accommodate their now fully dependent son. Back on track by 2002, they began to grow
the business once again.
